Grey Tinted float is produced by adding metal oxides during float glass production. Apart from its function in an aesthetic sense, tinted float is primarily designed to reduce solar heat gain, UV and glare inside a building.

Like all annealed glass, Grey Tint is governed by SANS 10400 Part N with respect to maximum allowable glazing area.
